Producer Vashu Bhagnani has requested a galaxy of Bollywood stars, right from Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan to Govinda, Kareena Kapoor, Madhavan, Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen, to make an appearance in his son Jackky's do-or-die comeback film F.A.L.T.U.

Shooting for the film, featuring Jackky, Pooja Gupta, Angad Bedi and Chandan Roy Sanyal, started on Sunday. The doting producerpapa, who has decided to cash the goodwill he has earned in the film industry, says emotionally, "Luckily these are people who wouldn't say no to me, and they didn't. When I came to Mumbai from Kolkata I had nothing. Today I have a lot of assets, and I don't mean the immovable kind. I mean, these friends who've stood by me and are willing to help me out when I need them."

But Vashu insists he wants to cast each of these busy actors in well-written, complete cameos as teachers on the college campus where the story is set. Apparently Govinda, Madhavan and the Bachchans have agreed. Vashu has also approached Mallika Sherawat - she made her debut in Bhagnani's Jeena Sirrf Tere Liye as Reema Lamba.

Says the producer, "I will never misuse their goodwill. Do you remember Mr Bachchan's cameo in Biwi No 1? He was on screen for just two minutes. But no one has forgotten him in my film. That's how I want each actor's presence to be in F.A.L.T.U."

So far, the project has been dogged by problems, and Vashu isn't averse to admitting it. "We've gone through a lot of turmoil to get everything in place. The script underwent several changes, but it's finally ready. Then my director-choreographer Remo Fernandez broke his leg and we had to wait for his recovery. And all those premature announcements about actors agreeing to be part of my film have only harmed the project," he says.

A source close to Kareena echoed this, adding: “Kareena is committed to several projects and is going to be neck deep in work for another two years. So where is the time to launch her own production house?”

Bollywood’s hottest couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor may be madly in love with each other in real life but they are going to fight in their forthcoming film Agent Vinod.
Saif’s debut home production Agent Vinod is all set to take off on May 24 in Mumbai though its actual shooting would take place in Morocco. The film will have a combat scene where the lead pair Saif and Kareena fights. It is said that Kareena has already started training for the particular sequence.
It was reported that Kareena plays a Pakistani spy in this film directed by Sriram Raghavan. It is slated for release in March next year.

Kareena Kapoor joined the invitation started by Radio mirchi about the remembrance of saluting the heros of 26/11 Mumai terrorist attacks. Kareena went to one of the programe called Sunset Samosa and talked about the initiatives and her upcoming film Kurbaan. The hot beauty who visited the radio station after 6 years asked people to name those people who helped them during the 26/11 terrorist attack. Meanwhile, radio michi had arranged a speical scrrening of Kurbaan to those nominees where the big star of the movie will be present.

A producer of the film Karan Johar also talkes about theh terrorism. In the mean time kareena said: I think this is one of my best roles after Jab We Met, so I am very excited about it.

The memories of that terror attack is horrible but at the same time it also reminds ur the bravery and humanity of our commandos, police and firemen.

Kareena Kapoor is on a high. She is getting one film offer every day and receives more than 300 SMSes daily. The actress says her career has started looking up ever since Saif Ali Khan entered her life.

“Saif is extremely loving and supportive. In fact, the best phase of my career started when Saif came into my life. Now he’s enjoying this phase in my life along with me. That makes this phase even more special,” Kareena told IANS.

Many people gave her relationship with Saif no more than six months. Reacting to that, Kareena said: “There’s absolutely no room for such negativity in my life. I only have place for people who are positive and who make me happy by sharing in my happiness.

“This is the best phase in my life. And I feel I’m in a place where I’ve never been before.”

Commenting upon her career, she said: “I’m a lucky girl. I’m being offered one film every day. Normally a Bollywood actress does about 40 days’ work. My directors are taking about 100 days with me. I’ve already given Karan (Johar) 100 days for his film directed by Rensil D’Silva.”

What are you doing in this guy-oriented cast of Rajkumar Hirani’s “Three Idiots”?

I’ve an effective role. And no power on this earth would’ve made me miss the chance of working with Hirani. I’m a lucky girl. I’m being offered one film every day. I don’t have time to read scripts. I’ll do so in March 2009 after I finish my current lot of films which includes Karan Johar’s film with Saif. Normally a Bollywood actress does about 40 days’ work. My directors are taking about 100 days with me. I’ve already given Karan 100 days for his film directed by Rensil D’Silva.

Looking back, has it been a turbulent year for you?

I wouldn’t call it turbulent. It was an exciting phase in my life when so many things rushed down on me at the same time. The last year was a turning-point in my life. But the end result is happy. Both, professionally and emotionally, I think I’ve come out a winner. I’ve tried to be as dignified about my personal life as possible. As for my work, god has been kind.

Do you think you’re lucky?

It’s not just luck. I’ve worked really hard to get here. It’s my perseverance that has got me where I am. And I owe my success to no one else but myself.

Perseverance? You’ve begun to sound like Saif.

Yes, my vocabulary has increased. He makes me memorise some pages of the Oxford dictionary every day, ha ha. That’s a joke. But seriously, he does speak very well. So I’m trying to catch up.

Who’s your favourite Khan?

Ah-ha. Do I have to spell it out?

Is there anything you want?

I have it all. For me, the journey as an actress has just begun. And I’m not going to shift focus from it for four-five years.

No marriage for four-five years?

I know, I definitely want to. But not at least for three years. The work I’m doing is giving me so much satisfaction. No 28-year-old can ask for more.

People gave your relationship with Saif no more than six months?

There’s absolutely no room for such negativity in my life. I only have place for people who are positive and who make me happy by sharing in my happiness. This is the best phase in my life. And I feel I’m in a place where I’ve never been before. As an actress I feel everyone and that includes me, expects things from me that are not generally expected from Bollywood actresses except maybe Kajol. Or my sister Karisma.

Do you get enough time with Saif?

Are you and Saif doing a lot of endorsements together?

We’re offered a lot of endorsements. But we are not doing any except a shampoo brand (Head & Shoulders). But we’ll soon be signing on for endorsements. And we’re doing another film for Asthvinayak. That starts in April 2009. We want it to be a fast and furious action film. Something larger-than-life. Saif is working very closely with the producers. He’s trying to lock in on the script and director.

You’ve changed so much in appearance and behaviour.

Ha, that’s what you think. I’m still the same. It’s just that I’m so busy. I’ve been working constantly. On top of that my house is being done up. There’re a dozen things demanding my attention. I get 300 SMSes a day. I can’t answer them personally.

Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor says that she doesn’t like the endless attention people give to her relationship with actor Saif Ali Khan and that most of the stories are untrue.

“There’re so many false stories about Saif and me. But it’s okay. I understand the need to know what’s going in our lives. Are we married… are we not married? Please! Fortunately, I’ve learnt to take all this unwanted speculation in my stride. The best thing is to just do my work and not get affected by the loose talk,” Kareena told IANS in an interview.

She says it was wrong to have heightened expectations from “Tashan” just because it had Saif and her.

“We just did what the script required us to. I don’t think people should’ve gone to see “Tashan” as Saif and my love story. What does that mean! We’re playing characters. That’s why ‘Jab We Met’ worked. The characters worked,” said Kareena.

She doesn’t like comparing her love life with work and said: “When I’m working, I’m working. And when I’m with him (Saif), I’m all there.”

What’s this about you being the highest paid actress in India?

I don’t know what other actors get paid. And I don’t care. I get what I deserve. I’ve slogged right from “Refugee” to “Jab We Met” and “Tashan”. An actor is signed for what he or she can deliver.

Is your price flexible?

I’ve always been flexible with my fee. The hunger is for the right roles.

There were lots of heightened expectations from your last release “Tashan” because of you and Saif.

We just did what the script required us to. I don’t think people should’ve gone to see “Tashan” as Saif and my love story. What does that mean! We’re playing characters. That’s why ‘Jab We Met’ worked. The characters worked. I had earlier done many films with Shahid while we were seeing each other. They didn’t work. Why?

You tell me.

Today it’s the script that works. All actors are hungry for the right scripts and characters.

All the attention given to your relationship with Saif – does that scare you?

I can’t stop living my life the way I want to just because of the attention. As long as I don’t let my family down, I’m not scared. I’ll always retain my values. But, yes, at times this endless attention does get scary. There’re so many false stories about Saif and me. But it’s okay. I understand the need to know what’s going in our lives. Are you fully comfortable in your relationship with Saif?

Yes. But only the two people in a relationship know what is going on. I don’t think people have the right to know what’s going on in my private life. They’ve my films to judge me by. I don’t need to give explanations about what happens behind my closed doors. Right now I’m loving it. The paparazzi is doing their job. We’re doing ours. Both Saif and I understand that.

The two of you don’t have that much work together.

No, after “Tashan” we only have Renzil d’Silva’s film together. Both of us are too sensible to sign films just to spend time together. Saif is way too mature and extremely understanding. He respects the kind of work I like to do as I respect his work. And we keep our careers apart. Saif knows that right now my career is the most important thing to me. And that I need the space to work. To my family and me my career is top priority because I’ve worked really hard to get where I am. You as a friend have watched my struggle. My family and friends know how much I’ve slogged. I won’t give it up for anything.

So career wins over love?

There’s no comparison between the two. When I’m working, I’m working. And when I’m with him (Saif), I’m all there. Besides, Saif is a superstar himself. He’s so busy.

How do you rate him as an actor?

I think he’s a 10 on 10. The way he can make audiences laugh and cry is amazing. And his one-liners are extremely entertaining. And we’re both moody. So that’s fine.

How excited are you about your current assignments?

All my current assignments are completely different from one another. I’m so excited about working with Aamir Khan in Raj Kumar Hirani’s film. “Idiots” is a comedy with a social message.

After a widely publicised break-up with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor started dating Saif Ali Khan and she is convinced that he is the man with whom she wants to live the rest of her life.

“One does feel settled in every relationship that one is in, but this time I am with the man I want to live with for the rest of my life,” Kareena told her friend and director Karan Johar on the TV show ‘Lift Kara De’.

The ‘Golmaal’ team regulars – Ajay Devgn, director Rohit Shetty, Tusshar Kapoor – are known for their prankster ways, and a recent target of their mischief was Kareena Kapoor.

It seems that when they were shooting at a hotel, Ajay and Rohit began talking about how a woman had died there, and that her spirit still haunted the hotel. They added that the ghost visited the hotel’s suites (Kareena was staying in one) and even killed guests!

Kareena was slightly scared apparently and told the guys to stop, but they wouldn’t. The actress wasn’t completely terrified or anything, she doesn’t believe in ghosts. But she is supposed to be a bit tired of the pranks. So will Bebo spook them to get back? We can totally see her wearing a white sari (and scary expressions) and roaming corridors.
